Re: Origin - 4K Scaling

The new Windows 10 creators update sort of fixed the small text when running 4k displays but you do it in  the windows compatibility section. Go to origin.exe and left click and go to properties then go to the compatibility tab.  If you check the Override the high DPI and then in the drop down right below it select system, no more small text. But now you have to deal with a pop up on Origin start up about windows being in windows compatibility mode. It would be real nice if they would either give us a way to disable this message or just take the message out of the code since this is a fix to their problem. Thanks

PS This is only in the new Windows 10 Creators update that was just released. If you havent updated to this new update then you wont see the drop down menu. This also works on other programs with this issue. I have got 3 programs working now.

Where do I find the origin.exe on my computer? I would love to know where to find this/windows compatibility. Thanks!

  •  Higher and higher DPR devices have been coming a while.  There's been a good, long time to get Origin up to snuff so that the menus are more than tiny things for users to squint at.

Handling DPR shouldn't be difficult, learn from what people've been doing on mobile devices for years.

This isn’t working... I followed your instructions exactly on first the main origin file and the every origin file on my computer and it still has the same sized ui and text.
