I downloaded and went through the Origin reset process and it is still showing the same thing without a download button. Here is what my game library looks like. Sims 3 is the only game I can download. It looks to be an EA Play issue but The Sims 4 is free to play so I should be able to play regardless.
@Narrativity The issue is that your EA Play subscription is blocking you from accessing Sims 4. Because EA Play is only available in Windows, any games you have access to through it are also only available in Windows even if the games themselves have a Mac version. Please see this thread for more information:
One thing you can try is adding the free holiday pack to your account. This may force-add the free base game to your account as well, after which you may be able to install it if it doesn't start downloading automatically.
- @puzzlezaddict Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, adding the holiday pack did not change anything. I also went to The Sims 4 store page and clicked the drop-down arrow and selected add to the account. From there it directed me to download it but when I clicked download it brought me back to my game library where the first screenshot is.
@Narrativity You can try right-clicking on the Sims 4 icon in your game library, any of them, and secting Uninstall, then choosing the Remove from Library option. Please try this with all three entries, then quit Origin, run the reset tool (again), restart your computer, and see whether you can download Sims 4 or add it back as a free game.
If this doesn't work, then your only other choices at the moment are to cancel your EA Play subscription or create a new account. There are quite a few issues associated with redeeming the free version of Sims 4, and this may be addressed at a later date, but I don't know when or if that will happen.
