Thanks fine, but then offer more solutions. If I cannot validate at least offer a way for me to just delete the account and start over from scratch. Stuck in limbo is not a solution 

I did this n still didn't work I can't even sign into my old account cuz I don't remember my password n I don't use my old email anymore so I can't log in that to change it

Hey @toniap for issues such as this you will need to speak with one of our phone or chat support advisers who will be able to advise you further. 

You can contact our live support at help.ea.com.  

To  speak with a chat adviser:

Click on your product Origin

Then select 'PC

Manage my Account'

Can't log in

Finally, you can choose to begin a chat or request a call back.

Yeah good luck with that one. If you can’t remember the idiotic details of your ea account then there’s no chance in hell you guys will help us 

I've got this same issue. I have my username and password, but because the account is old, they want a password reset, which sends to the old email address. Therefore locking me out so I can't get in to unlink it from my psn. This system is a joke and feels illegal. The fact that you can't unlink the account from the PlayStation itself is stupid.

I have the same issue.

Contacted EA helpchat for assistance & was told old account was deleted - which I do not remember requesting at all.

Now have new account with EA, but can’t link ps4 as it’s already linked to old EA account.

Can’t unlink except through verifying old account, which I have no way of accessing. So how to unlink?!

Not acceptable, and possibly illegal, as not allowing proper access to my data. 

I would like to take this further than the rather useless help chat - how to do this?

Three years later and this problem persists. EA is not even trying to fix this. They refuse to make any effort to help their customers. I feel sorry anyone else going through this but EA is not on your side with this issue. My advise would be to create a new account to play EA games or find another company that cares.
