Unable to Download Origin - VCRUNTIME140.dll/MSVCP140.dll was not found

Hi I cant download Origin it says "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." AND "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I don't know what this means or how to fix it. I can't reinstall the file because its a new computer and there wasn't an Origin downloaded in the first place. Please help

    @laurenjackson93  Those files are part of the 2015 VC++ runtimes, which Origin needs to install properly.  It's best to uninstall your current copies, if you have any, and then download new ones from Microsoft.  Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, click on both the x86 and x64 entries (if you have them), and select Uninstall.  You can download new copies here. Be sure to install both the x86 and x64 versions.

    Restart your computer, and try to install Origin again.

    omg you are a life saver! i was at a loss bc i couldn't figure out why origin wouldn't re-install after deleting the files off of my new laptop. i made the mistake of trying to transfer my game to an external, but it didn't work and moving it with origin only moved partial core files, and basically i had to start new. i had deleted those two files by accident, and now that i've downloaded them, then installed them both my origin opens again. you deserve a hug and many cookies for saving my sanity. thank you so much for helping us❤️

    Didn't work for me either unfortunately. I get two consecutive errors, which I attached here.
