Has anyone been successful in unlinking or updating an account with an old email address? I bought battlefield 2042 and it won’t sign in, it said it’s been a while and I need to reset password. Problem is the account is linked to an old email that I don’t have access to anymore. And I’ve created multiple cases with no success in verifying my account. Even though I have provided them with all they have asked for (dob, IP, historical purchase of EA game, date and last 5 digits of CC, phone number). Something is not matching up and they won’t give me a clue. So there is literally nothing I can do to access EA account (linked to Xbox, I have a separate one for PS4) which will enable me to play the game. Any ideas or suggestions? Is there another way to unlink or even delete the EA account? Thanks

If you are unable to log in you will need to speak with an advisor for further assistance, they will need to first verify your account then can assist with making any needed changes. If you are wanting to unlink a platform account or update account information on an EA account you can do so by logging into the account portal.

If you are unable to log in you will need to speak with an advisor for further assistance, they will need to first verify your account then can assist with making any needed changes. If we are unable to verify the account they may be limited with what they can do.

@EA_Illium Thanks for the reply. Yeah, that is the problem. I have tried to validate my account, giving them the requested information, however it’s was not good enough to validate. So, am I out of options now?

Thanks fine, but then offer more solutions. If I cannot validate at least offer a way for me to just delete the account and start over from scratch. Stuck in limbo is not a solution

I did this n still didn't work I can't even sign into my old account cuz I don't remember my password n I don't use my old email anymore so I can't log in that to change it

You can contact our live support at help.ea.com.

To speak with a chat adviser:

Click on your product Origin

Then select 'PC

Manage my Account'

Can't log in

Finally, you can choose to begin a chat or request a call back.

I've got this same issue. I have my username and password, but because the account is old, they want a password reset, which sends to the old email address. Therefore locking me out so I can't get in to unlink it from my psn. This system is a joke and feels illegal. The fact that you can't unlink the account from the PlayStation itself is stupid.

Hey @doccydarko1 if you are unable to verify account ownership then our team cannot make any changes to or grant you access to an account.

I have the same issue.
Contacted EA helpchat for assistance & was told old account was deleted - which I do not remember requesting at all.
Now have new account with EA, but can’t link ps4 as it’s already linked to old EA account.
Can’t unlink except through verifying old account, which I have no way of accessing. So how to unlink?!

Not acceptable, and possibly illegal, as not allowing proper access to my data.

I would like to take this further than the rather useless help chat - how to do this?
