Why can't I live chat?

On ea help, when I try open up a case, it only gives me the option to call ea to get help. Since I don't exactly want to call ea, I wish to text chat with an advisor but, it doesn't give me the option. I did a case a day ago and got the option to live chat.

Why is this so? I guess the Battlefront 2 beta may have something to do with it (there would be a lot of help and support needed).

    First of all, the region you choose affects the support options given to you, but also the Topic and the Issue of yours.

    Testing right now contacting the support (https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/using-ea-help/) with Region US, Battlefront 2, PC, Topic "Technical support" , Issue "Game won't launch" does give me the choices for both Live chat and Call. But choosing Topic "Missing content" , Issue "Never received content" only gives the choice for an e-mail.

    So try to change your Topic/Issue and your Region to see if that would change anything.

    Second of all, try out the following if you are suspecting the page/chat itself just doesn't load right:

    • Disable ad blockers
    • Disable pop-up blockers
    • Disable no-script
    • Allow cookies on EA Help
    • Press F5 to refresh the page
    • Clear the browser cache
    • Try another browser

    I shall accept this as an answer but, I have some questions.

    In the exact same region and case type, I could do it twice (I messed both up :L) but the 3rd time I only get option to call.

    Odd.
  • I can confirm they put me on a long wait list for both of my chat help attempts and I unfortunately must have missed them third time would only give me a call option with a wait time of an hour and a half pretty awful

  • After about 3 different cases where the Indian dudes on the live chat told me they can’t fix my problem and I should kick rocks I lost the ability to live chat with them. They now are refusing to call me or email me. Terrible customer service with a greedy awful company.
