why doesn't origin support mac update big sur?

Hey! so before updating my macbook pro my sims 4 wasn’t acting right so I uninstalled it and realized I had 3 updates with my laptop and that’s what I did and when I try to reinstall everything back it says Origin doesn’t "no longer" support my version of Mac OS and that can download the previous Mac OS 10.7 or 10.8 but at the bottom it says Mac OSX 10.9 or later. When I do download it, it tells me Origin need to update but it won’t. What should I do? I have enough space on my laptop.

    Hey everyone,

    I just wanted to give you an update:

    We've noticed that players on certain browsers were unable to download an install Origin on Big Sur. This issue has been resolved on January 18th and you should be able to download and install Origin again.

    I'll lock this topic as no further reports were posted about this happening and to prevent necroposting.

    Mine is saying on Origin that it can only be played on Windows... and I tried everything already listed in this thread ): any other tips?

    @LexChurch  Did you try using the direct download link posted in this thread?  Please post a screenshot of the error message you see.

    Yes and that worked (thank you) but it won't actually let me play the game on origin for some reason... photo attached. Thank you so much for your guidance on this!

    @puzzlezaddict never mind! Apparently only the trial was available on Windows and not a Mac. I am all set now, thank you again for all of your guidance on this issue! You should be hired by EA!

    Origins current version will not run on Mac update macOS Big Sur version 11.0.1. HELP

    I installed origin off safari, downloaded the sims and all the packs. Opened the game and it crashed. Now it won’t work.

    Origin was working, then i was playing the sims 4 on my new MacBook Air m1 and i went in CAS and it crashed. Then it was saying something about origin. I went back on a few hours later and it works now but i haven’t been into cas. Not sure if that was origin or the sims
