Xbox Controller not recognized in Star Wars Battlefront 2

I'm having an issue with my xbox one bluetooth controller not being recognized by Star Wars Battlefront 2. It worked for a few min, game crashed and now when I open up the game, my xbox controller isn't found at all even though it is connected to my PC. Please Help!

  • Hey @fetneram that it workes wired points to an issue with either the controller or your inbuilt Bluetooth.

Bluetooth and most Wifi networks operate on the same band and can interfere, when I use my Bluetooth headphones with my streaming stick I get a pop-up telling me that I need to swap to 5ghz Wifi to ensure there are no issues.

As the controller and your inbuilt Bluetooth are not made by EA then we are not able to provide much assistance beyond basic troubleshooting.

  • It actually helps to plug it in until it is recognized, and then unplug it, the game starts to recognize the controller via Bluetooth. Odd bug!

Hey @fetneram this would point to an issue with either the controller or your Bluetooth. If using internal Bluetooth rather than the official Xbox dongle then you can see issues.

  • I don’t use a dongle when using my Xbox controller with any other PC games I have, so that’s very odd I would need it for this game … I’ve been playing PC games like Apex Legends and Fortnite for years with the Xbox controller and without a dongle.

I had to reinstall the game woke my Xbox controller was connected to the PC. This seemed to work well, and then I just restart the game while the Xbox controller is connected if it doesn’t pick the controller up.
