I'm doing the missions for the story elements but I fear I won't finish the story part of the game it before it shuts down. The stuff that can be made offline/unavailable is primarily the story. And even though there's content that's tuned for group play, I'm finding I can do it after setting the mission difficulty to easy. At this point, I don't particularly care about public open world stuff, so I don't see why it even needs to be online only. Other EA games I own, like Mirror's Edge Catalyst, stayed playable offline for story missions and timed events, with only online leaderboards removed. With the exception of fully online games like MMORPGs, EA should ensure its games remain playable long after it stops supporting them. I never considered Anthem a fully online game because it allows you to play content privately (e.g., offline).
