There's this story, don't know if it's true or not.
In Japan there was a small village and a train passed through it. Then came a time no one in that village rode the train but a little girl who used it to go to school. The train company wanted to shut down, but it waited until the little girl never needed it anymore. When she was done school and went off in another direction, the train retired.
EA, could be like that for the customers and fans who actually appreciate Anthem. But instead EA will be known to pull the rug on their customers because they never got enough millions from them.
Electronic Arts can be that company that says "Hey look, we put out a **bleep** game, and we keep it running for the ones who enjoy it, cause we care about out customers"
It's a very good looking game, it plays very well. It's even unique. So many of its bugs have been ironed out to a point where if it launched like this, no one would complain about bugs. The load time is bad, but so what at this point. Takes time to load all that detailed graphics. With the weather effects and lighting alone the game manages to show me visuals and moods I never seen it do before.
I've seen content where people tried Anthem for the first time and were surprised with how good the game mechanics are. It honestly feels great.
Sure EA being the largest video game developer in the world will carry on growing, but this shutting down Anthem without a patch for those who love the game. To just take it away without a trace. It's a crime.
