Bug Report - Spore

I've been having a bug on spore. I'm on tribal stage and wanted to befriend a tribe but for some reason, whenever I clicked on them to play the instruments, everyone would just stand around and nothing would happen. It wasn't frozen because creatures were moving and things like my gatherers were still gathering food. I just couldn't play any music to befriend a tribe. It also didn't happen with anything else. I could attack other tribes and give gifts, but I couldn't play music to befriend them. Anyone have solutions?
