Cannot Play Games with Friends

would it be possible to get more information on this?

• What is your EA ID?
• Which modes are you trying to play?
• Which platform are you on?
• Do you get an error message?

Modes: Exabition/Franchise primarily.

Platform: PS5

No error message. My friend just goes into the menu and it says I am with him but I am still at my main menu. When we make me host instead it will say he is in the lobby however is still at the menu. He does not have this problem with anyone but me.

Thanks for the additional details!

To check have you already tried the following to see if there is any change?

• Repair your game via the EA App - Repair (Library > Tile Dots > Repair)
• EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) 
• Connection and Advance Connection Guides 
• Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance

I believe you sent of the troubleshooting steps for a PC.

For the PS5 I

• Uninstalled and reinstalled
• Cleared Cache as well as rebuilt database
• Have played online in another EA game (EA FC24)

Just let me know if I missed anything else.

Me and my friend can’t play together. We want to play franchise but can’t. He can join my party, but when I go into Franchise mode, it keeps him on the main menu. I can get into franchise and try to start a game, but again, he is stuck on the main menu and I get stuck on a loading screen.

For context, we have been avid Super Mega Baseball players since the second game, but we haven’t been able to play for months and are sick of it, please help.

Apologies for the mess up I misread your platform. 

To check do you or your friends have any PSN Account privacy settings that might block one another? 

Aside from that does this issue happen with any other friend?

My dad and I used to play this series couch co-op in the first and second games, but havent played for probably close to the release of 2 due to not being able to play online together. We were hopeful for 4 coming out that we'd be able to party together and play either head to head or co-op but neither option is available on gamepass version of the game apparently? We cant even invite eachother to get in the other persons party. This is unbelievably frustrating.

I’m having the same problem as well. I am on Xbox series X though. Not speaking for him, but my guess is it happens with everyone he tries to play with on SMB4, but not any other game. That’s how it is for me. @EA_Illium
