I wanted to confirm with everyone in this thread if you are playing via the EA app or the Steam clients?

@EA_Illium hi again illium, i can confirm that i am playing via the EA App. Today, trying to fix other issues (Red Alert 3 not launching) i tried reinstalling it so now Spore Galactic adventures is giving me a different error: when launching via a desktop shortcut or the exe itself, instead of "failed to launch %gamename%" it says "you need to update and restart the EA app." But of course after you click restart, it doesn't help.

@EA_Illium Same problem as Krisha. Update required, no update to be found.

I just tried reinstalling the game and I have the same issue- going through the app runs regular Spore, going through the desktop gives the update message. This does make me think something might be being worked on at least... I hope GA can be brought back to working order soon.
