Found a way around it.
It's a dumb way, but it works.
So, I had to unallow my browser from remembering my password, and also had to tell EA to not remember this device. Because for some reason, when I go through it in such a way that I have to type in a security code, it works? At least for a bit.
Also, Chrome and Safari actually load the images of creatures and adventures... for some reason Edge doesn't.
So basically I just need to sign in from scratch every time? Will update if it continues to blow smoke in my eyes.

when you get the message of too many redirects from crome; go to the advance settings from that page; then click on the spore.com website link; even though crome says that the spore site is unsafe and unprotected. you should then be able to get on ; this works for a mac pc or a android phone; i have no idea if apple anything will work this way.
It people are still struggling with this, try a different browser such as Firefox; This works for me.
