Crash on entering cell edit mode

When I enter cell edit mode the game crashes without any error message. I have tried to contact EA Help but they couldn't help. There are no mods on the game, I tried to re-install the game, update the video driver, install the latest VC Redistributables, disabling antivirus - no effect. Here are the detailed steps to reproduce the issue:

1) I click on Cell Creator button

2) I see an animation

3) I see a black screen with a loading indicator

4) I see a black screen for around 2 seconds

5) Game just exits with no error screen

    I found that the game makes memory dump and stores the exception information, which I attach here. The highlights are:
