Galactic Adventures Patch Installs earlier verson

Upon installing Spore:Galactic Adventures, it tries to patch, and it tells me to visit spore.com for full details, no more information than that. I go through with the patch, and once the installation process begins, I get the following error:"The setup has detected that version 1.06.000 of SPORE is already installed."

"This setup installs an erlier version of SPORE(1.05.0001)"

"You will have to uninstall the previous version before installing this version."

I cannot skip the patch, I cannot tell it to stop asking me to download and install the patch, I can only tell it to bug me about it later.
