GOG Account cannot login or register in-game

I purchased the game through GOG, and installed it through the GOG Galaxy launcher. I reedemed the code at the redemption page, and I can log in to the Spore website; however I cannot create a Spore account or login or register in-game.

    Hey @BorkyVT , what happens exactly when you try to register in-game? Would this guide  be helpful? If not, what step are you stuck at?
