I have read about methods for Origin, but as there are problems with modding the Steam version, I am curious. And if it's possible, how can I do it?
You can get them for any version if I recall. The fan-made Spore Forums has a link for bots parts.

I assume you can put it within the Data folder. In Steam it should be located somewhere here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common
Just make sure you're in the right folder, you'll know you are when you find 'DataEP1'. Then there should be another folder named 'Data'
