I can't sign in with EA even though I followed guides.

Hey, I don't know if this area is dead or not, but I can't log into Spore with my Origin account no matter what guide or whatever I use. I've tried using my Steam copy, and now I'm using my Origin copy (the steam copy isn't installed at the same time, don't worry.) It keeps throwing an unknown error and that it can't connect to the servers when I try the Spore Account log in, even though I can sign in with the account on Spore.com. Another guide said to make a question if this is the case, so here I am. Hopefully I can get some help here.

I play Spore with Creepy and Cute, and I do have mods installed, but that shouldn't cause an issue as far as I know. (But again, I know nothing, so I could be wrong.)

Just as an FYI, I'd prefer help through here, because I am autistic, and stuff like the Online Chat make me extremely nervous, so if I do need help from a EA Tech, then I'd prefer to be contacted through here or another more indirect method.

    When you sign into Spore.com, you will either see your email address at the top, or, you will see MySpore Page, with your Spore screen name at the top. Which do you see?

    If you see your email address, it means there is no Spore screen name (persona) associated with that email address. Use the "Register" option in-game to create one. It will ask for three things: your email, password, and a new screen name. The first two should be the same as your EA/Origin account (which you used to login to Spore.com), and the screen name will become your public screen name (username) that appears on your creations and on Spore.com.

    If you've already done the above, and therefore see MySpore page when logging into Spore.com... just to confirm, the message you receive in-game is "There was an error connecting to the Spore servers. Your computer might be offline or your internet connection may be having problems. Check your connection or visit Spore.com for additional assistance or server status."?

    If so, first try deleting the login.prop file located at C:\Users\your_name\AppData\Roaming\Spore\Preferences - this will reset Spore's online configuration and can resolve some login issues. You won't lose any other data.

    The game does not support all special characters in passwords. If your password contains symbols or uncommon characters (like accented letters) try changing your password to remove these.

    If you have extra/non-standard anti-virus, firewall, parental controls, or anything else that could block/affect internet activity, try disabling these.
