Invalid Product code help
I just found an old copy of Spore on one of my shelves and decided to play it again for nostalgia's sake, since the last time I played was several years back on a cheap, old laptop which crashed frequently.
I installed the game quickly, and also installed the EA download manager that came with the game, which instead downloaded and installed Origin onto my computer, much to my chagrin.
So I open up Spore, and it tells me that my code for the installation is invalid and cannot be used with the product, like in this screenshot.
When I try to login via the 'log in' button on the main menu, I get this error, and when I try to log in via the settings menu, I get this error.
I went to EA help, and waited for roughly 40 minutes to get an extremely buggy live chat with an advisor, who eventually told me to contact the game retailer where I purchased the game, who in turn said that spore was no longer being sold and told me to contact EA instead.
I managed to get the same advisor with whom I spoke to before [after another 40 minutes of waiting] who after looking at my email, registration code, origin ID, etc, gave me an article that said every little detail about the "call me" function... but no way of actually using it.
After spending a lot of time being frustrated with how the help pages keep redirecting to either forums [which in turn link back to the help pages] or to the "live chat" which was no help to begin with, I have decided to stop running around like an idiot and ask right here: How can I fix my game? The live chat advisor said I have an incorrect Origin ID and I have the game registered on another email address, and every single response from EA to other forum posts says to go to the help pages, which go in circles.
If I can have some assistance with my conundrum and get on with my life, I would like to have some actual legitimate help instead of being pointed in the direction of something that runs in circles and just doesn't work.
