Plants v Zombies (free version)

I am unable to load this game on my EA App. It says to input a product code but when I try to do this is says there is an error. 

This game was free but it now looks as though I am unable to play it. 

What is the problem? I have tired repairing the game, restarting app. etc  I don't want to remove the game incase I can't get it back as originally it was free.

I haven''t played for sometime even though it says I played on the 28th January 2025 and today but I know this is not correct but is probably the day I updated the EA app and my Sims 3 and 4 games
