You can create a 'persona' at www.spore.com

You will need to login the usual way, then go to settings at the top right and create a new persona with the name you desire. You can then make it your default account and login with that account on Spore.

If that still doesn't work, load up Spore and type your e-mail, but at the end of the e-mail, add a colon along with your username :<YourNewUsernameHere> - Then type your password.
