Spore is an older game, it is not always possible to redeem the code through Origin.
In this case, its better you contact a game advisor. I am sure he can help you

EA StaffIt sounds like you have used the key previously on an older machine.
You will need to contact EA Support and provide them with your CD Key so that they can entitle you for an Origin download version.
Spore is a pre-Origin game so didn't have the functionality of newer titles where CD Keys automatically give you the Origin version too.
