@EA_Nils I just made a new account and followed his steps and but it wont let me register a spore account i tried 19 times and it keeps saying "An unknown error occured, try again"  😬

The exact same thing is going on here - just getting messages on unexspected errors and no internet connection - which there is....

Yeah unexpected errors as in giant glitch so the game becomes more boring :P

I already have a spore account but if i try to login to it, it wont work

You don't work for EA, but you also aren't giving helping hands. Stop spamming in your quest to make yourself feel better.

I have the same issue.  I installed the game fine, but when I try to play the game, the "play" option does nothing, if I try to go to spore.com, activate my registration etc, I keep getting servers can not be contacted and random generic not connected to the internet problems.  I installed the game off of the original disk and entered the serial code off the instruction book that came in the game box.  I am aware of downloading origin and possibly steam, but surely I don't have to load all of that software to my computer to load a game I just want to install and play.  

I have the same problem. I first uninstalled my game from Steam (by the way, it stayed there without playing for about 10 months), then redeemed the Spore base game in Origin, and finally I downloaded the game via Origin.

Even after downloading the game I still can't log in. I tried removing the %APPDATA%\Spore\Preferences\login.prop file and even still it won't log me in. Doesn't seem to be an issue with the firewall, because it's allowing connection.

What's more shocking, I tried to log into the Spore forums but it won't let me, saying that "I have to buy a copy of the base Spore game"... This is ridiculous. My guess is that I first have to succesfully login to the server in order to get access to the forums, but still, it's kind of dumb considering that I did have log in the servers before.

Any ideas? Game advisors aren't helping out, either.

Take the CCleaner and clear your cache and all the other things. Often the error lies in these little things

If you start the game, do not sign up immediately. Go over the main menu in the game
