I got same issue and I try same what your telling but I couldn't find SPORE Preferences

the SPORE Preferences folder is under  Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/SPORE Preferences/

If he not there, then the game couldn'T create one

In this case, you should again check your settings in Origin. If you did that and it still does not work, delete Spore completely.

Use Cache Command to clean the Mac. ⇧⌘G 

It pop up a new window, type ~/Library/Caches

Delete everything there with ⌘←

Hello! Trying very hard to follow these instructions. I have previously played this game on PC windows. I am not as familiar with Mac. I am not sure which MacBook Pro I have, but I am not able to find ANY file that says config when I type that folder in or anywhere else on the Mac for that anyways. Is there anything you can do to help?

The only types of files I seem to have are .plist I have never heard of this type of file. Also no config folder. Was really hoping there is a way to make this game work. I am not as familiar with Mac as I am with windows

this is the post for Mac, not PC. So you don't have the files. All files for the pc are located

...\AppData\Roaming\SPORE

You must to be the admin of the machine and get there.

As I said, this guide is not for PC and therefore not relevant for you.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about PC. I am stay in touch more with Mac
