SPORE: Creepy and Cute cannot install on my computer!

    years ago i bought a spore creepy and cute parts pack dlc but i didnt have the spore game. so it was waited for years and today i bought spore on steam and installed it. played for a while and noticed i  had the dlc ! and i put the cd in to install it an an error occurred. it says '' first; update your game to latest patch and after that install the creepy and cute parts pack''.i tried to update game but i didnt find how can i do it.  i try to add my dlc pack to steam and i cannot do it too.please help me ea.
