  • @Samasoaresrex, Hi

    Yes this a well-known bug, see here in the manual

    https://forum.spore.com/jforum/posts/list/30/31948.page

    • Uninstall it but keep your my creations as well as your saves that are in the directory "\Users\YourUserName\Library\Preferences\SPORE Preferences\p_drive\User\Application Data\Spore\Games".
    • Then, make sure you have your system upgraded with the most current version available. Use the software update application for this.
    • After that, install the base spore. DO NOT BOOT IT FOR PATCHING!  > Launch the game and then patching

    before you uninstall the game, do not forget to uninstall the hidden files

    ~/Library/Preferences/Spore Preferences

    ~/Library/Saved Application State/Spore transgaming

    this may be a dumb question but.. how do you install the game without the patches?

    I can't find the second folder that you told me to uninstall so I'm going to assume that it is already uninstalled and try again with reinstalling it and hope for the best! Thank you for your help!

    Update:

    I've tried to reinstall it even though I could not find the second folder and Im still getting the exact same error. Since reinstalling I looked for the folder again and still haven't found it so I'm not quite sure what to do next

    @Freggi-Liz

    Your suggestion didn't seem to fix the problem and I'm still getting the same error also I couldn't find the second folder you instructed me to uninstall. I downloaded the game from Origin so I'm not quite sure how not to boot it for patching. Thanks

    @Samasoaresrex,

    Please take a look at my pictures. This is the path where you find the files of Spore,

    You can also check your settings in Origin. There are some settings that can be annoying. Disable it, here's my guide

    @Freggi-Liz,

    I followed the guide and still get the same error. Maybe the problem is that I'm missing the folders you highlighted in the 1st picture? Even after install I don't see anything with those names.
