Have you found any solutions? Has anyone responded or tried to help you? Have you checked to see if you have the correct system requirements? Do you have some kind of firewall you can turn off? Those are the troubleshooting ideas I can come up with (not much, I know).
I have a similar problem and am getting really frustrated. I have the correct system requirements but can't get past 71% on the download no matter how long I leave it running. Would love to know if you figured anything out.
Also would love to know HOW you called EA ... I can't find a contact phone number for them ANYWHERE on the site, not even a way to e-mail them, and it looks like a lot of the questions in this forum are sitting around unanswered. Bummer.
