Spore Installed in Japanese for some reason?

Spore installed in Japanese for some reason? I saw people saying to add "-locale:en-us" to the SporeApp.exe filename, to but 1) you can't have a colon in a file name and 2) changing the name caused origin to stop recognizing it or something and the game refused to launch.until I changed it back to just "SporeApp".

Are there any other solutions?

    Hi,

    but this is the right way. The change of language is only possible via the language line in Spore. 

    It is important to know which platform you are wanna play the game.

     Fix the game through Origin by right-clicking on the cover and saying repair game

    @Freggi-Liz Thanks but nevermind, I just renamed the "en-us" folder to "ja-jp" in the Data > Locale folder. It isn't perfect but it worked mostly.
