Spore

I ordered the spore game online yesterday and now I'm having trouble getting the application to run. When I click to start Spore it just opens and closes. I may have put the wrong registration key since I never received one via email like I think I was supposed to. Can anyone help?!?!? I'm running on a Mac that meets the requirements of the game.
