Super Mega Baseball 4 Co-Op Issues

Hello,

I am having issues trying to play games with a friend in Franchise mode on SMB4. Whenever I invite him into my party and enter franchise mode, it keeps him in the main menu and the game will not start with him. It just endlessly says waiting. Sometimes it will let us draft together and then from there we can play 4 games or so, but if we restart the party or try to play more the issues start. I've tried looking it up and have seen others say the same, but no solutions. I've also tried getting in a chat and support and they have no idea what the game even is. It's been out for 2 years and they don't care enough to even make the game work online, what a joke. I know it's highly unlikely but does anyone have a potential solution for this besides restarting my router and PS5??
