Well, after trying to get the game to work for 2 weeks....and I tried EVERYthing(atleast every suggetion through EA-Spore-Mass Effect, also through technical support mail, and phone). I saved all my music and pictures onto my spare hard drive (luckly for me I only use the commputer for games/music/and Email) and then I went in and dug around my computer (with the help of 2 very computer literate friends), never figured out what was going on, so sadly this "fix" is definatly NOT what the majority of people will want or even attempt to do because there computers are more important in their lives then mine is in mine....and completly wiped clean...back to the factory settings. I then installed creature creator(figured I'd go with the quicker of the two to install), and it worked!! Now I'm going to try uninstalling C.C. so I can install original Spore, and will see if that works. Sorry to all of you having simular problem, this not being the ideal "fix".
