I'm attempting to invite my friend who has Ea play through steam while i have EA play through EA app, and we are unable to invite one another. When I try to invite him to the party, it tells him to purchase the game through EA launcher and vice versa for me.
Are we not able to play because our subscriptions are through two different launchers?
EA Staff (Retired)I can see he’s online but when I send the invite, it sends the invite to ea play where it tells him he has to buy a copy.

To confirm have you added him as a friend in the EA app client? Also are you inviting him from the main menu, or which game mode are you trying to play?
I have the game Super Mega Baseball downloaded on EA. My friend bought and uses it through Steam. We are unable to play against each other as neither of our invites show up for one another. I see his EA name but when I invite him he doesn't see it as it comes from the EA app and not the actual game itself.
