- @chisel316 same here. not much audio options other than volume sliders so i doubt its an issue with our PCs

Nope, it definitely isn't your PCs.
I've got the exact same issue on Xbox Series X. No commentary and no engineer audio.
Thanks for the confirmation. I hear the racing engineer loud and clear. I'm not sure how I got it to work. I kept adjusting the sliders until I heard him during the race. Now I can bring all the sliders up to max and still hear him clearly. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the commentary track. It sounds fine before the race starts, but then gets really quiet during the race. In fact, if I didn't have subtitles on, I would've never known there was commentary during the race!
Yeah I can't hear anything most of the time, I only hear commentary when I'm passing the speaker poles on the track, which is ironic considering how arcadey this game is.. they went full-on realistic with on track commentary? That can't be intentional. Lmao.
A similar problem I have is I can hardly hear my own engine over others. I frequently find myself redlining a lower gear only recovering from a spin because I honestly can't hear that I'm redlining. Of course I catch myself by looking at the speed/tachometer... 😅 I guess I'm more auditory when it comes to shifting.. 🤷🏻
I'll have to play around with the sliders more.
Same here - audio mix in this game is pretty bad, unfortunately.
There's no separate slider for engine volume, which really sucks.
I have to turn all the effects on to listen to my revs, and I'm getting this loud stream of different noises that makes my head hurt 🙂
Announcer commentary is completely musted in this noise, I only can see subtitles.
