Cockpit too dark

I’m sorry to dig up a fairly old post but I’m also on PS4 and the cockpit camera is basically unusable as the interior is essentially a pitch black shadow. When you first switch the the view, it appears correctly and you can see the lighting ‘break’ and go all black. Please, does anyone have a fix or know if this is something CodeMasters/EA is aware of?

Edit: This also happens on night races for me, though not guaranteed every time like in daylight races.
