Despite using KPH, cockpit gauges and steering wheels keep showing MPH instead

Product: GRID Legends
Platform:Steam-PC
Summarize your bug I'm from Slovakia and we, just like most of the world, use metric units. While the game allows me to use KPH instead of MPH for the HUD, the cockpit view ignores this setting and the gauges and steering wheels inside the cars still show MPH instead. I originally thought that this was limited to cars that were produced in countries using imperial units, but then I noticed the same thing on Porsches or BMWs, which made me realise that the game just ignores this setting and forces imperial units there. Why doesn't this change with the unit setting? I'm almost sure this woudn't be hard to implement as the gauges/steering wheels are rendered dynamically. Why hardcode MPH there? I know where the devs are from, but most of the world would prefer KPH. It's not that big of a deal, but as many things with this game, it's rather annoying as it's just laziness to not have a proper solution for it.
Please specify your platform model. Steam
Did you have cross-play enabled? Yes
In what game mode did the bug occur? Offline Career
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use the cockpit view during the race.
What happens when the bug occurs? The cars have imperial units hardcoded into their cockpits and the game ignores the KPH setting.
What do you expect to see? KPH units being used inside the cockpit HUD when having this option selected in game settings.

Forced imperial units in the cockpit kinda kill the immersion when you notice it. Sadly, after 90 hours of playing, I finally did.
