DiRT Rally 2.0 - Patch Notes

DiRT Rally 2.0 is a title evolved based on your feedback and how people play the game.

This thread is an archive of our Patch Notes, so you can see what's been added over time.

Version 1.18 is the final update to DiRT Rally 2.0.

    Version 1.15

    August 18, 2020

    Content:

    • New livery: Royal Air Force - Ford Fiesta R5


    UI/UX:

    • Re-enabled World Series tab on main menu to accommodate for DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series Qualifiers.

      Note:
      Players who take part in World Series Qualifiers will earn a new car (Ford Fiesta R5 MKII), which is set to be released in version 1.16.
      Players who take part in Qualifiers using v1.15 will get the car when it releases. 


    Rallycross:

    • Updated sponsor board branding on all FIA World Rallycross championship tracks to reflect real-world updates.
    • Adjusted performance of AI drivers in wet conditions (decreased pace by 1%).


    Cars:

    • SUBARU Legacy RS - Added ability to upgrade brake durability in My Team, in line with other cars across the game.
    • SUBARU WRX STI (Rallycross) - Updated livery number which was previously difficult to see.
    • Peugeot 208 WRX (2019) - Adjusted position of gear indicator which was previously obscured by steering wheel.


    Locations:

    • Perth and Kinross, Scotland - Adjusted collision detection for some log piles, which previously resulted in invisible collisions. 
    • Perth and Kinross, Scotland - Adjusted Pace Note timings for a small number of corners on Newhouse Bridge Stage (now come slightly earlier).
    • Perth and Kinross, Scotland - Resolved issue regarding notable FPS drop on South Morningside and Old Butterstone Muir Stages (narrow bridge section).


    Colin McRae Scenarios:

    • Updated completion text in German, French, Italian and Spanish for consistency.

    Version 1.16 is in development, release date to be confirmed (estimate: early October).

    Content:

    • New car: Ford Fiesta R5 MKII

      Note:
      Car is available to all players in modes outside of My Team.
      To unlock the car for use in My Team, take part in a DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series Qualifier and you'll get it when the Event Week ends.

    Cars:

    • Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 - Updated engine audio based on new recordings of real-world car.
    • Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 - Updated rear-view mirrors to show reflected images.
    • Ford Escort MK2 - Updated rear-view mirrors to show reflected images.
    • Porsche 911 RGT Rally Spec - Updated rear-view mirrors to show reflected images.

    FIA World Rallycross Championship:

    • Removed AI driver names which were mistakenly appearing when using 2019-spec cars.

    Colin McRae Scenarios:

    • Resolved issue where Used tyres were displaying as New in Service Areas.

    Miscellaneous:

    • Added ability to select Paraguay as a driver nationality.
    • Made various minor (not notable) bugfixes across the game.

    This is the final "content update" planned for DiRT Rally 2.0.

    Any potential future patches will only contain very minor, essential bug fixes.

    Locations:

    • Höljes, Sweden - Adjusted track limits to prevent significant corner-cutting in rare instances.  


    Miscellaneous:

    • Adjusted performance of dynamic trackside signage.
    • Minor bug fixes and stability improvements (none notable enough to be highlighted).

    • Added support for Logitech TRUEFORCE™ hardware (ie: Logitech G HUB G923 racing wheels).
    • Resolved multiple Logitech-related issues that arose from Version 1.17 update.


    Cars: 

    • Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 - Resolved issue where engine audio file reverted to older iteration (previously used in Version 1.15).


    Miscellaneous:

    • Updated Volkswagen logo in menu screens to match new real-world version. 


    This is the final update for DiRT Rally 2.0.
