Dirt Rally 2.0

I had reached the final race in my Career Rallycross event at Lynenhill; however, the game crashed as the final race was about to start. Since then, I have tried numerous times to exit the game and re-enter the Career Rallycross. The opening scenes run, but when I select "A," the game crashes again, and an error report appears with the option to send the report, which I have done multiple times.

I don't know if this is related, but I no longer have a driver or co-driver in the car, regardless of the event. They are missing even in Career Rally or Daily events.

Can the data in my game be reset, even if it means losing all the progress I have made thus far? It would be great if I didn't have to lose everything, but I love this game, especially the Career Rallycross. I currently have approximately 16M credits and every DLS and car that can be had.

  • Hi, sad story I hope you find a solution to your problem. I'm hopeful for you!

A quick question on the subject: is there any way to share your savegame between Dirt 2.0 console version (via GP Ultimate subscription) and Dirt 2.0 (Windows), which can be purchased directly from the store?

My first guess is no, but you never know.

  • Thanks for your reply.  As it turns out, there is a way to fix most of the issues (all except putting the driver and co-driver back in the cars).

I started the game, went to Options and Extras, then to my Profile and then "Save Management."  Under "Save Management" we are provided with 3 Options.  I chose Option 2 (see attached files) and didn't lose any purchased cars or other DLC and also didn't lose any of my 16M credits.  The only thing lost was any progress I had made in either Career Rally or Career Rallycross (i.e. progress in whatever current event I was in.)  The good news is that I can now open and play Career Rallycross as before, albeit without a driver or co-driver in the cars...lol

Option 3 is a bit drastic since you start with a completely fresh game (as if you had just purchased and installed it and had no data associated with it.)  I may choose to go that route at some point since starting with a clean slate using the 795.1 hours of experience to my advantage. 🙂

To anyone else with this problem or similar problems, the attached files tell you what each Option does.
