When there was an outage sometime last year, there was a similar reaction - are they turning this off?
I inquired on the old Codemasters forum and was told that nothing was being turned off, the Daily Stages etc. run automatically on a server and there was a technical issue.
I'm guessing EA are discontinuing this server instance to cut costs however negligible they may be.
The Dirt Rally is not even part of the list of their supported games and can no longer be purchased on Steam.
So this seems like a adieu to the best rally game of the last decade and a half.
Unless there is some backlash although those meagre few hundred users who take part every month is a very small pressure group.
No fanfare, no respect, a plug is pulled so that EA shareholders may feel a little better at a negligible cost saved and forcing people to buy inferior products.
