spent 2hrs on phone and text to Microsoft for them to tell me its a codemasters/ea issue Really Mad about this bug now I have lost progress in every mode from my team to the Historic class stuff
That's because it is RaceNet not picking up that you have the entitlements despite the game itself letting you know you have them.
You know it's not Xbox because it has given you the liveries and the DLC cars for the offline.
However, this information is not being sent to RaceNet and has locked everyone out of their tokens. It is 100% an EA/RaceNet issue and needs to be addressed soon because the lack of DLC for me is completely annoying because it's out of my hands now and I can't get it to work again because of this issue.
@PJTierneyCM Any chance of a response soon?

I got told to contact Microsoft to make sure there's no issues with my account.
I literally know there isn't one. I have access to all my DLC, offline, that isn't the online career mode.
The AI are even using the DLC I am supposed to have and numerous reinstalls of my DLC isn't fixing this issue either. The events for DLC cars and stages even appear but I cannot enter them because don't own my cars.
None of my starter cars were upgraded either, which was another DLC I had, along with my 5 starter cars pack.
It is 100% RaceNet because this was FINE UNTIL I RESET IT. My console is clearly picking up I have the DLC because the AI are using it but I can't!
I don't understand what's so hard to get here. It's literally RaceNet.

Yep and the people at Ea support keep saying make sure u are using the account that bought the dlc THERES ONLY ONE DLC ON MY XBOX AND GUESS WHAT OH YEA ITS THE ONE THAT BOUGHT THE DLC'S. Come on EA do better fix the bugs

I had the same problem when I bought the GOTY version for PC from the MS Store. No vehicle in the garage, no tokens, no starting credits.
This could be an age-old problem for this game, which existed even before Codemasters was bought by EA.As for the MS Store version, it's ridiculous to leave a defunct product on sale for almost 5 years. People complain, then give up.
On the other hand, I'm surprised about the Xbox version. I picked up the season-pass packs (1&2 and 3&4) a while back while playing the basic game via EA Play, and on Xbox I didn't have any problems: all the content was available as planned.
I also opened a ticket, even though I honestly have the impression that the problem will never be solved.
I'll be getting my money back on this GOTY version (at €39.99, half of which is unusable DLC). - 6 months ago
I can assure you at the time of the PC's development it wasn't an issue and I had reset my progress in around 2022 and it was also just fine.
This is definitely a recent issue and unfortunately is locked to Codemasters' RaceNet.
I like to think I have very solid knowledge of how this game and it's systems work. I contacted Microsoft and they literally said it's not the DLC because everything else works completely fine bar this game.
They narrowed it down to EA and more complaints we get, the better they'll have of fixing it
I hope EA fix it. I want to have faith. But with the Dev team currently focussing on WRC, I am hoping it's at least raised.
The lack of communication from anyone at EA is pretty bad as well.
I'll ping @PJTierneyCM again just in case I get a response at the third time lucky.

I contacted the Xbox development teams, to whom I submitted the bug report (no usable DLC in My Team on DR2 Windows, via MS Store) and was informed that I was the first to open the subject concerning this game and its extensions. It remains to be seen how information is passed on internally...
I contacted EA support, who told me that it wasn't them but Codemasters, to which I replied that EA were the owners and therefore directly concerned. The problem has been raised but they probably won't be following it up.
Finally, I contacted @PJTierneyCM himself (Codemasters CM) who confirmed the existence of this bug, which had been affecting me on the MS Store version for a very long time, and that as the game had reached the end of its life (continued by EA SPORT WRC), there would be no further work planned for this game.
So what are we waiting for?
It's true the game is in end of life stages now but that doesn't change that there's content being sold here that isn't working.
You could theoretically take them to court and you'd probably have a case for selling a defective product.
Either way, I'm hoping that because RaceNet is not entirely end of life because it has to keep working, that it might get fixed in the backlog.
PJ is probably just spouting the usual corporate slop that he is required to do because it's not him that directly influences this. It is the RaceNet development team.
They cannot hide this issue forever. Especially when they keep discounting it on the store.
Very disappointing. But I want to hold out hope.

shows that MS dont talk to eachother i contacted them 3 weeks ago today re this issue so both of them need to pull finger and sort it

from Xbox support agent : "this means that it's an in-game DLC issue that only the game's developer can resolve. At the moment, we at Xbox Accounts and Subscriptions have already reported the situation and we'll just have to wait, my friend! However, for more help, you can try contacting the game developer to request an update on the DLC issue and we'll get it resolved."
from EA's support :
"Unfortunately this is a known issue with that version of the game, that Microsoft has been unable to resolve.
We would therefore suggest requesting a refund for your purchase.
Please note that this problem does not occur in the Steam version of the game.
Sorry for the inconvenience."classified as "No fix", at least it's clear we can bury the topic

they just emailed me asking what knes I am missing sent them all 27 of the ones I am missing

Last night i bought the year one dlc bundle in xbox store, load it up today and exact same thing. No cars, can't do any of the daily/weekly events, no coin, etc. Wow guess I'll refund immediately
- 6 months ago
It's a lost cause.
EA accuses Microsoft of not being able to resolve the problem (it's been 4 and a half years) while Microsoft retorts that the problem comes from the game publisher. Everyone passes the buck and the problem will never be corrected, c is a certainty!Meanwhile, I also requested a refund for the Super Deluxe version via MS Store, which has been blocked for several days now. What a story...
I want to stress that they're refusing to resolve it and trying to pass the blame on.
Unfortunately, I am well equipped to know how the game works (beyond the surface level of the supposed blame Microsoft) and I can assure you it is EA and RaceNet.
This is pretty bad and the more people complain, the worse this will get and EA will have no choice but to fix it.
It's not my fault their server cannot detect whatever DLC I own. Ironically, these issues started after the acquisition of Codemasters. Funny that.

too late ive gone and requested a refund from Micrsoft so yea im getting my money back really disapointed result but im not wasting money on a company that isnt looking after their customers anymore
- 6 months ago
I also received a refund from Microsoft.
Anyway, all that hassle and several open tickets with Microsoft/Xbox and EA, only to end up with a game I can't even play for fear of losing game time.I'd have hoped for a more favourable outcome, with a fix in sight.
But the bottom line is that everyone is passing the quid, and it's hard to see who's responsible for this malfunction.
Microsoft is blaming EA and asking for a refund rather than an in-depth study of a patch.
EA blames Microsoft and asks for a refund and/or purchase on Steam.
Neither of them is committing to taking responsibility for the problem. After a while, we consumers do what we can, but when it's out of our hands, the reality is that it's going to stay that way. - 6 months ago
It's not over until it's over I suppose but if we can keep building the complaints, it could work.
Not that I'm an optimist about this but... Hey, I don't think this series has gone the right way since DR2.0.
Ah well. I'll keep seeing what I can do.
Unfortunately, all the tickets I've opened so far have been unsuccessful, or have been limited to ‘known problem, won't be fixed’.
According to a Codemasters agent, the game supported at the moment is EA WRC and there will be no investigations into legacy games. (considering DR2.0 to be old)In any case, they blame Microsoft for the problem and advise people to use Steam instead.
For their part, MS don't seem to be able to do much about it and aren't particularly counting on it, despite several reminders: it's refund and basta.I sincerely believe that this will never be corrected.

This whole thing is so frustrating! We can’t fully use what we paid for and somehow they get away with it. And They are still selling it, It’s literally a scam at this point
I left a one star review on the xbox store page of the standard game explaining the issue. (Can’t post it on the GOTY edition since I don’t have it)
