Grid Legends - Connects to server, cannot play online.

I am Unable to play grid Legends online sessions. I mainly play on steam and I loved the game and have been grinding the career mode ever since I beat the story mode offline. However I cannot join any online sessions.

When I start the game I can connect to the online services no problem. I can create a party, see friends online and browse the sessions online. However whenever I try to create an online session I get an "Network Error - Unable to create session, please check your internet connection" and whenever I try to join an existing session online with space I get a "Join Error - Failed to join session. This session may be full or no longer exists" message. I can confirm that my internet is not the problem as I get 20mbps download and 5mbps upload.

Additionally, all of my other EA multiplayer games work online flawlessly, including Apex legends, Need for speed heat, and need for speed unbound. 

I also bought the game on EA launcher directly to see if that would fix the issue which it did not.
