Grid Legends is such massively appreciated game, for it's amazing game engine, it has a multitude of game modes and vehicle choices, something for everyone to enjoy, it has very nice graphics and physics qualities, also the precision, feedback and realism using a steering wheel or game controller, is super enjoyably addictive, even if it's an arcade game, it does very much lean on real driving feedback simulation, but made very easily accessible for those that do not have the will, time or the knowledge to lose so much time continually trying out setups, and then doing that for each vehicle ?!, no way, not for me thank you, that's extremely time consuming, so I obviously enjoy such a well put together game right from start.
Now I want to say, that it's very frustarting for many game developers, to see that Grid Legends has such a huge success, they are losing clients, many games are not being sold, used or being developed for the time being, because they know they do not have a game that could compete with it, let alone be better that Grid Legends. and to add, there are many among us that are going out of their minds for such a game, they're very addicted to it, causing these kids, but also grown ups to lose their minds, creating tension at home, being bad at school, and even losing their jobs because of the addiction, so I wouldn't be surprised at all, if these are some of the reasons why, Grid Legends is off air ?!

We've played several other racing games throughout the decades, the one I come back to as well, and never question it's ability to deliver fun, stay on it and think very little about other games, are the ones as the Codemaster Grid series, and others that have the same kind of engine game type, as you've mentioned yourself, the best I've come across lately and it's sad there's not more of them, is Grid legends, so much variety all in one game, with its very good driving physics, with its minimum requirements to setup a car, it's a blessing to be able to quickly adjust the car settings between sessions offline or online before the start of races, without wondering off to fiddle with setups or have them saved and think which one to load up, it's simple with no mind bogglingly time consuming fiddling with complicated settings, just one or two tweaks if needed, depending on whether it's bumpy, smooth, a slow or fast track, that's all, not like most other racing games, like for example the Forza franchise, which in most cases, the car settings are scrambled, can't drive them fast to compete and set high lap times, it's impossible, except when the game starts at the opening at first, the fast cars we've been given to drive are excellent to drive, but after that, I've fiddled around with setups for a very long time in those games, I came up with the thought, that with all the range of possibilities, the good setups range is set by the developer to a precise certain setup criteria, which is impossible to get right, unless you precisely know what each ones are, they established themselves as a package for each car, one has to get lucky to stumble on the right overall balanced setup, predetermined by the one-s that made and know the balanced spectrum, and then do that with all vehicles, it's not like real cars, they should at least set car setups in a mid-range setup manner, that makes sense, to either increase or decrease some choices, and more understandably get to a at least a decent setup more easily, it's still complicated, because of all the tweaking that's available, but that simple change would make the whole Forza franchise, but especially thinking of the Horizon series, more popular and wanted to have, as You wrote, as many early games, the first and second Horizon game were perfectly fine, but when they coupled with the second game developer, they ruined the game physics.
But anyway, I'm on PC now, we started there, we're back on it after all these years, got the Steam app installed, paid for a new Grid Legends copy, playing with an older but decent PC, it has enough specs to play Grid Legends, have to restart the whole game from scratch once again, hopefully that's the last time, but what can we do, this whole Xbox live being unable to connect to EA server, that was the last straw that made me move away from the Xbox or any other console, loads of games on there are crap anyway, and the subscription was a waste of money as well, the Pc is a more reliable platform, yes it's a costly business, I hope to sell the Xbox x series, at least get some of my money back, can't sell the Xbox game-s, because the latest ones I have are digital, that's also a downer.
You said you'll be moving to PC as well, the Steam app works well, at least up until now, so see you online.
And another plus point, yes, we have more options to use the steering wheel buttons, assign them to the various needed possibilities, and the Xbox controller still works using it together with the wheel, to add more options.

I can tell you, go on steam, you'll love it, it just takes a little to get the settings right, but there's plenty online on how to do that, it's not difficult at all, once you've got going after a few minutes or an hour, you'll be pleased you got off consoles.
Games are affordable, there's even AC Rally now on it and plenty more, as You know iRacing is on there as well, but that is a little too expensive to keep playing it, but I'm exited to try AC Rally soon !!

I'm going back to PC as well, and using Steam, buying games from there, seems to be a very good choice !
