NFSHPR: Lag spikes in the menu and when selecting anything
I just downloaded NFSHPR on my new pc and i went to select a map and the game froze for a good 3 seconds before letting me select the race. The racing itself works fine, but the lag spikes in the menu are messing with me
I've tried almost everything to fix it;
Automating processor affinity with Process Lasso
Creating a custom launch script (batch file) to adjust CPU cores
Updating and adjusting GPU settings (V-Sync, threaded optimization, reflections)
Creating a new config.ini file with changes to display and graphics settings
Deleting heavy 4K videos from the game folder
Installing the latest graphics card drivers with a clean install
Updating chipset and management drivers for the motherboard
Changing the Windows power plan to High Performance
Disabling Windows features such as HAGS and hardware acceleration
Ensuring correct cable connections (HDMI/DisplayPort)
Disabling the EA App’s cloud storage and playing in offline mode
Disabling the EA App’s overlay and in-game features
Changing the game’s configuration file to Borderless Windowed, lower reflection quality, locked FPS
Deleting large video files in the game folder to avoid lag in the menu
Forcing Windows to disable Modern Standby via registry changes
Checking controller and mouse settings, including firmware updates and polling rate
Performing a clean driver installation with “Perform a clean install” when updating the GPU
Does anyone have any other reasons as to why it keeps lagging?
