I bought the pass since it was 89p and thought viable in terms of getting the cars ranked up quickly with the mileage.
Issue is it doesnt work. Ive checked multiple times and after a race I only get the normal amount of mileage. Quite frustrating, EA/Codemasters please get this fixed!
I can confirm the same, actually I just did a test and I would dare to say that the mileage gained is even worse than normal!
I play on Xbox Series X with the deluxe edition (got all the deluxe edition cars in my garage so I assume the mechanical pass is added as well).
My test was to race 5 laps of the Crescent Valley oval (via race creator) in the Clio Cup. That is 5 x 4.06 km = 20.3 km distance.
Before the race:
Clio Cup was 20 km driven according to garage upgrades
Touring car sponsor event was 18 km driven (active sponsor card)
After the race:
Clio Cup was 34 km driven (also got a post race update for 14 km added)
Sponsor card was increased to 31 km (that’s 13 km added)
I assume the 13 or 14 km added difference is because of rounding down numbers. But both are NOT the 20 km distance that 5 laps of the Crescent Valley should be! Is the mechanic pass given a negative effect or so? Or is this a mess up of miles vs kilometers? Either way, something is messed up!

I think there might be some confusion on how the Mechanic Pass works. It doesn't increase the mileage that you're getting, but rather lowers the mileage requirements for upgrades. Basically it's a discount on upgrade costs.
For example, if you have the Mechanic Pass the cost of Power Upgrade 1 would be 7mi driven instead of 10 mi.
Did you see any messaging somewhere that said it included an increase in Mileage? If so, can you let me know where you saw it?
@EA_KentThanks for finally responding on this. I think the confusion then, is the way you are marketing the actual pass as quite a few people have misunderstood what this meant. What you are saying make sense but we have no way of seeing in game that the mileage is actually reduced.
There should be some sort of graphic layered over the mileage counter at the end of the race, which shows the reduced mileage and says mechanic pass active or something so we know its activated. Right now we have no clue its even doing anything as its not shown anywhere in the game once you have bought it.
As its only 89p its no big deal but this should be made much clearer in game to show where the mileage reduction is. That way people wont get confused. For a Triple A game like this I would expect this to be standard.
Im also still taken a back at how much you have to grind some races to get to the actual mileage to unlock tier 2. If im grinding now, god knows what its like without the Mechanic Pass!
