Re: I'm sorry but I have a *SERIOUS* bone to pick with this game(DLC related)!!!!

It seems the only way to cause significant damage to an opponent's car is to t-bone them. That means to hit the side of an opponent's car with the front of your car. Doing this as fast as possible is better, and using boost helps. Classic Carnage events have boost enabled in the races, but you'll have to remember to turn that option on in custom races in the race creator.

Opponent name indicators are important for demolition events, since name indicators have health indicators below them. Pay attention to them to see what damage the cars already have, or if they're already wrecked, since sometimes it's impossible to tell if a car is already wrecked without looking at the health indicator. If an opponent is already wrecked, you're wasting time hitting them. For causing points of damage it's ok to hit any car that's not already wrecked, but for goals involving wrecking opponents, only aim for cars that are low on health. It takes too long to wreck a healthy car if you have to wreck multiple cars in a single race. Drive around and keep looking at health indicators, and eventually you'll see one that's low, then wreck that car.

Until I figured this out by trial and error, I was frustrated. After I figured this out, I hated demolition derby a lot less than drift events.

I feel your pain.  Was the same for me.  But after some time I eventually got the hang off it.  That said it is my least favourite DLC.    But then I’m used to playing F1 games.   I can’t add anything more. @Donut_McFish knows  the way💪👍

@Isamu99   Been playing for as many years as you👍.   Hate the kids are now better than me😤

However  I do love drifting.  Even though I’m pretty average

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm gonna try and apply that suggestion. If I can't get that Lugna event completed then I'm just gonna say **** it and move on. Absolutely disgusting game mode.

  • oh boy I hope you aren't planning to get all the achievements done for the derby DLC...now thats a major PITA 😬

LOL don't worry I don't plan to. They can have 'em 🥳

  • You remind me so much of myself as I made nearly the exact same rant about this a few months back.

As for the LUGNA event (which I completed multiple times, but the game ignored or miscounted wrecks, so to this day the game hasn't given it to me):

    • you can set career mode event length to 5X, which would give you 35 laps here
    • do it on very easy difficulty (otherwise no chance)
    • DO NOT UPGRADE HEALTH as your opponents get upgraded too (I obviously did exactly that) - cars are hard to destroy by default, let alone the upgraded ones
    • I have no answer for the game miscouting wrecks though, I killed like seven cars once and it didn't count in the end

Either way, this is the stupidest event I've ever seen in any game, completely going against the game mechanics, beyond obvious nobody really tested it. A huge disgrace.

As winning it is not tied to any specific achievement, nor is unlocking the INDLOVU event (not even doing that), I'm simply leaving these things incomplete, I had enough frustration.

I can get all the achievements without these two crap events. There was already enough grind involved in those derby-related ones.

Great post dude! Agreed wholeheartedly. It's becoming increasingly difficult to stay enthusiastic about this dumb game, especially now, after having had all my sponsorship objectives wiped clean for whatever stupid reason. I don't intend on redoing them and as a result  several cars that I had **ALREADY** unlocked are now locked again and will remain that way. I'm almost ready to dedicate my time enjoying only the online portion of the game. Thankfully, every time I check the lobbies I see a nice handful of players still playing online. So my focus will be only there soon. Hope to see some of you guys on the track 🙂
