I am replying to my own post... After the update from MIUI 14... 

The issue with the "ghost controller" seems to be fixed... Although no information has been given in the update as to what exactly was the issue...

As for people who are stuck with MIUI 13, and no official update to MIUI 14 is available, I would suggest u wait for a few more days... Then download a custom update to MIUI 14 (if available) from XDA Developers...

They are the most trusted open source developers of ROMs for Androids...

Hope this helps... In the meantime I will continue to look to find the root cause of this...

Hi, i am using the same exact model, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro. My device is already updated to MIUI 14 and it seems that the "ghost controller" is still there. What should i do or what can i do to make the game work again? 

The phone model is "11T pro" not "11Pro"... Both are different, with different software components... 

But when I got some security updates in my last post my controller issue got resolved... 

This confirms that the issue is with the phone OS... The only option I can suggest now is to change to a different OS until ur problem gets solved, as I don't think Xiaomi will make any future updates for "11Pro"... 

Also, Xiaomi is one of the companies which allow easy flashing of OS, and u can find countless ones on trusted developer sites like XDA, so just get urself a new OS... Maybe even try Pixel 1 to get unlimited cloud storage (its for photos and videos only)... I personally was about to do the same but stopped cuz my issue got resolved...

There is a difference between "11 PRO" and "11T PRO"... The former didn't get the latest security updates which had a patch for the "GOODIX CONTROLLER INPUT" bug... 

Many different phone companies like Oppo, Poco, and some Vivo phones are also having this issue...

Its related to a component mislabeled in the motherboard that all of these phones share... Basically the Touchscreen and Fingerprint sensor use a chip which UNITY (the game developer) recognizes as a controller chip... 

Now most of these companies have rolled out security patches pertaining to this issue...

In my case, it was luckily the very LAST security update and android update (MIUI Global 14.0.7.0) that fixed the issue for me, and gave me Tilt Controls instead of the stupid non-existent Controller ones... 

But for most of u out there, there is NO solution on the default OS... U need to change the OS on the latest version of android 13 or higher and latest version of MIUI 14 or higher... 

Sorry but even when my issue had been fixed, I kept looking for a solution, and in the last 3 years couldn't find one...

So i upgraded from UI13 to HyperOS. and it seems to not be working.. im playing/writing this on my POCO X4 Pro 5g.
