Re: Replay camera not switching automatically

Yeah, as already was discussed many times your previous thread.
But I don't think the game have these extra cameras. In promo video they just hand made cameras to record the footage.

I'm afraid EA will not put time and effort into it, since it is a lot of hand job and testing to make sure that the cameras won't show what players are not supposed to see. Codemasters used to do a great job about it, especially in Dirt 3 and Dirt Rally 2.0.

We had a very beautiful Halloween event in London. Now we have a very beautiful Christmas event in Chicago. Game artists really tried their best.

Unfortunately we cannot see or share this beauty with the others. Just look at the replay footage. It's just boring. None of the track decoration is really demonstrated.

GRID Legends is based on the same engine (EGO) as GRID 2019 and many tracks are featured in both games.

It should not be too complicated to have the replay camera angles of those tracks from 2019 in Legends.

The other tracks might need some work but the trackside cameras are already there.

I saw the video about the Christmas event and could not see any difference with the regular Chicago track.

I had to race the event myself to spot the Christmas decorations. The decorations and fireworks are nice but you can't pay a lot of attention to them while racing 😉

Using the chase cam during replay helps to see the effort that was put into this event. This made me think of the scenery shots featured in GRID2 replays.

During GRID2 replays, the camera was pointing at the scenery from time to time. I added 2 screenshot compilations to show what I am talking about.

Those scenery shots could have been used to show the Christmas decorations.

The current replay camera puts too much focus on the cars while the action, the sense of speed and the tracks are also a big part of the game.

Codemasters has already proven they can make much better replays than what we have in Legends.
