Re: Server showing wrong names

Hi there.

I've checked with the team and here's the info I can share.

 

DiRT Rally and DiRT Rally 2.0 run on the old Codemasters Accounts system from before the EA days, and legacy code.

There is no way for us to manually change usernames on this system.

Our team is currently fully-focused on upcoming product releases, and some of the work done for those may have had an effect on the display names for DiRT Rally 2.0.

It is not something we can fix at this time I'm afraid (for various reasons I can't share on the forum, one being that the game itself isn't getting any more patches), though I can confirm that the DiRT Rally 2.0 Clubs feature itself is still operational for now.

    Names are right now though 🙂 

    Purely empirical observation: it seems that names switch to old ones when servers are having other troubles too (which there were some days ago). And then when other issues are sorted, names are back to normal. Maybe they're fixed with some sort of restart/reboot of your servers?

    But I really hope that DR2 multiplayer isn't dropped because of the new title. And it does get some maintenance love too. It is still very much active scene.
