Guys, can you please share your laptimes in the SALVE sponsor event?

I have a feeling, that this event is actually impossible to win on Legend difficulity.

AI laptimes are insane and you can't do much on a track where you spend most of your time with the pedal to the metal.

If it was a race, then it would be possible to win, because races are chaotic, but with time attack, bots just pull laptimes out of their hats, regardless of what's happening on the track.

Upgrading your car seems to make it worse, as AI increase their pace if your car is upgraded. When I started with a fresh car, AI did 1:40 times, after I upraded they happily go 1:35 with me 3 seconds behind...

Don't know the details of this event, but Time Attack in general is often painful in this game.

Since the AI has unnatural speed on straights on Legend difficulty, I just gave up and switched to Expert for the career mode, even if that makes most events rather easy.

However, the cheating in this particular mode is so ridiculous that some events have to be played on Hard instead. The AI can miraculously shave off a full second AFTER the event is over, meaning that this is either hardcoded into the game or completely randomised.

Either way, this mode ain't no fun thanks to this, because the final lap times are different from what you see during the event. It's a lottery.

@KsR_v_WolF there's no choice of car, because this is a sponsor event, you are forced to use the new BMW. The track is crescent valley, full version.

@CrashmasterSOAD this is not even the issue with autocalculated post-race times, the normal times they do during the race are 2-3 seconds faster than mine, mostly because crescent valley is a very fast track, and in those cars you spend most of the time on the throttle
