“Long Drive” Fairway Challenges

Yes i agree.   Somehow i manged to get 2/5, but I'm still not 100% sure what constitutes a long drive.   I don't recall getting 100% exactly but i may have.   I wish they had a tracker in the side so you would know if it counted or not.   If you need exactly 100% that is almost impossible to do 5/5 times in a row

I have tried over hitting and it doesn’t count even if I land on the green, so what does long drive actually constitute? I’ve done everything in the formula the game states and still have never completed a long drive. Is there a hidden distance requirement as well?

Which exact challenge are you trying? I'm sure the one I did had zero chance of reaching the green.

I meant fairway (haven’t had my coffee yet). I’ve tried a couple different drive challenges, the one a part of the EA sponsorship and the one a part of the Titleist sponsorship. 

If you can overswing and it counts, there must be some sort of distance component that is hidden that makes it count or not. Frustrating that they don’t say this in any way, even in the caddie tip, but I’ll have to experiment more trying different distances to see if any count. As I said before I’ve overswung every drive and had none of them count so maybe it’s just bugged.

Ignore the first few attempts, my arm kept getting bumped. But the last 2 are over 300 yards, with a driver, using drive, and it lands and stays on the fairway but I don't get progress towards long drive. I have satisfied the caddie tip at the beginning where it gives the formula for long drive, and hit over 300 yards and no progress.

That’s only on arcade mode… I play on tour. It should be possible without having to cheese the game on a lower mode but because the parameters are not defined no one has any idea what you actually have to do.
